Blackpool woman accused of murdering her baby daughter makes first court appearance

A Blackpool woman charged with murdering her seven-week-old baby has made her first court appearance.

Laura Lee Langley appeared in the dock at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court before Deputy District Judge Keith Allen on Wednesday (March 22).

The 36-year-old, of Belgrave Road, Blackpool, is accused of murdering her seven-week-old baby daughter Edith on November 20, 2020.

She is also charged with child neglect and causing suffering to her child.

She was remanded in custody until Friday (March 24) when she will appear at Preston Crown Court.
